CBD or Cannabidiol is a cannabinoid found in cannabis plants (hemp, marijuana, etc.). Its popularity has been growing in recent years due to its health-related properties. CBD is used to relieve symptoms linked to inflammation, pain, anxiety, and depression. You can choose from different CBD products and forms such as CBD oil tinctures, capsules, creams, edibles, beverages, and vape juice.

What is CBD oil?

CBD oil contains cannabidiol and MCT oil (delivered from coconuts). It is most commonly used as an oral tincture. CBD oil tinctures are made for ingestion. They are not suitable for inhalation. Click here to learn more.

There is a difference between CBD oil tinctures and CBD oil made for inhalation. The first is oil-based, unlike the second one. Inhaling oil is unhealthy and it may lead to serious problems.

There are 2 types of CBD oil suitable for vaping – CBD vape juice and CBD cartridges.

CBD vape juice

It is sometimes labeled as CBD vape oil, but it doesn’t contain any oil at all. When choosing a CBD vaping product, pay attention to the ingredients it contains. If you spot anything different from CBD extract, terpenes, cannabinoids, PG and VG, there is a chance for the item to be unsuitable for inhalation. Read the label carefully.

CBD cartridges

These are slim disposable e-cig tanks filled with CBD vape juice. Connected to a battery, they provide an easy way to vape CBD. There is a second option – cartridges known as pods. You can use these if you have a reusable device.

Dosage

How much you should take depends on several factors including your body weight, tolerance, metabolism, and more. To find your dosage, start low and then gradually increase it. A good starting position is 1-2 mg of CBD. After that you should wait at least 6 hours before taking your next dose. You have to observe carefully how you feel after each dose. When positive effects appear, then the dosage is right for you. It also depends on the symptoms you are trying to manage.

Side effects

There are not many studies showing what the side effects of vaping CBD are. Drowsiness is the most common side effect. It is observed mostly in first-time users. It usually subsides with regular use. This side effect is caused by higher CBD doses. Low to medium doses, on the other hand, produce the opposite effect.

Red eyes, hunger, and euphoria are also common side effects.

Vaping CBD oil won’t get you high, because it contains less than 0.3 % THC (the compound that produces the “high” effect).

Conclusion

There are many ways to take CBD – oral tinctures, CBD drinks, CBD capsules, edibles, sprays, and creams. But vaping is a more effective method of consumption because the user can absorb more of the CBD.

Before buying a CBD product, make sure it is organic. This means it is free of chemicals and pesticides. Also, avoid the cheapest products. Good quality comes at higher price. If you want to have a good experience and to benefit from vaping CBD oil, you have to buy quality products.
