The recommended amount is generally 64 ounces per day. The water we drink replaces the fluid levels that we lose through urination, sweating, and other activities and processes. It doesn’t take clinical research in psychiatry to understand just how vital water is to our health.

The Magic of Sleep

Sleep is another essential function that we must have in order to be well and enjoy optimal health. In fact, not getting enough sleep is linked to many chronic illnesses. Moreover, while we sleep, many restorative functions are performed in our bodies. Sleep builds up our energy reserves and helps us to function in a focused and alert fashion. It’s hugely beneficial to our body’s for many reasons. Get at least 6-7 hours of sleep per night if you can’t get 8. Any less than that means that you are compromising your health.

You Are What You Eat?

This is perhaps the only piece to the health and wellness puzzle that will require money. However, it will not require much. You would be surprised at the impact that eating a balanced diet can have on your health. Taking a little thought regarding what you put in your body has the ability to either fuel your body powerfully, are leave you exhausted. Eat well. Add healthy meats, fruits, and vegetables to your diet and practice eating this way most of the time. Of course, it’s ok to have cheat days but make sure you don’t take advantage of them.
