Market opening dates and times
Following the success of the previous year, the market will be open until 24 December, offering shoppers a truly festive experience right up to Christmas Eve. It will open from Thursday 16 November, with the lights switched on by the mayor. This will allow plenty of time to get down there and start shopping. The opening hours are 10 am to 9 pm every day.
What to expect
The market will be from the twinned city of Frankfurt. Millions of visitors are expected to arrive during the season to explore one of the most famous UK Christmas German markets. As it is the largest outside Germany and Austria, there will be lots to explore. It will be centered around Victoria Square and New Street. The weekends are anticipated to be the busiest time, and after 5 pm during the week as shoppers and workers stop for food.
