How To Pack For Your Whitewater River Trip!

No doubt you’ve jam-packed enough excitement into your heart for this whitewater rafting trip, but that does not mean you have packed all your other essentials. Packing correctly ensures that you have a trip with no snags. The following simple guide will help you pack everything you are going to need during this trip.

Clothes to Bring on Your Trip

The type of clothes needed is sometimes overlooked, so consider the following suggestions:

It is important that you bring a water bottle so that you can stay hydrated during the trip. Make sure that the bottle comes with all the little perks you might find helpful during your trip. Some bottles are made from materials that help keep water cool such as copper.

There are also bottles that help filtrate water just in case you find a spring near the river where you are going to be rafting. Be sure that the bottle you bring comes with a carabiner, so you can clip it on any gear you might bring along with you.

Bring That Sunblock Along With You

The reason you need long-sleeve shirts even though you are going to be under the heat is because it might protect you against the sun. A little sun is great as it provides vitamin D but too much can cause sunburn, and you do not want that. What you want to do is bring sunblock with you and other items that can help keep UV rays at bay, such as sunproof chapstick or coconut oil.

Prepare to Snack

In regards to food, everyone’s experience can differ depending on the kind of accommodations made beforehand. Those who find an area where meals are going to be served are probably going to get to enjoy locally grown foods, which is great, but that does not mean you will not need snacks from time to time.

No matter your situation, it is important that you bring snacks that you can pack that can stay safe for some time like nuts, dried fruits, and dried meats. All of these snacks can be purchased organic and without any additives. Best of all, these snacks do not have to be heated or prepared in any way for you to enjoy them.

You are Going to Need Some Soap

Make sure you consider bringing some soap, lotion, and toiletries. Of course, you can bring along toilet paper, but it might be wiser to bring along family cloths, which are usually made out of linen. You simply wipe, clean, and reuse these cloths throughout your trip.

The lotion is important because the sun is going to dry your skin and a little lotion might help retain moisture unless you are going to simply use coconut oil. Try your best to bring a soap that is natural so you do not contaminate the greenery around the river such as oil-based soaps.

Hopefully, this guide was easy enough for you to follow. Make sure you just add this to the rest of the things you are going to be packing like your goggles, camping gear, and medications should you need those.
