Healthy Snack Ideas for Summer

Everyone loves to snack in between meals whether its summer or autumn. Why indulge in a bag of store-bought, unhealthy snacks when you can make your own? Try these summer snacks that are quick to make, delicious and made with wholesome ingredients:

Toast some slices of multigrain bread. Drizzle a bit of olive oil and top up with hummus, fresh cherry tomatoes, and basil leaves. Sprinkle some sumac and indulge in this tasty snack.

Rice cakes make for versatile snack recipes. Place three rice cakes on a serving dish. On the first one, spread some hummus and top with sundried tomatoes, and fresh basil leaves. On the second one, spread fresh guacamole and top with some chili flakes. On the third one, spread some cream cheese and top with caramelized mushrooms and fresh dill.

Roast your favorite vegetables like zucchini, bell peppers, eggplant with a touch of olive oil. To make the sauce, mix honey, tahini paste, salt, soy sauce, lemon juice, chili flakes, and pepper.
