Aarambh – Solo Art Exhibition

The Vadhera Art Gallery proudly presents the solo art exhibition titled Aarambh to commemorate the ninety-third birthday of the renowned painter Mr. S.H. Raza. The exhibition is open to the public from 11 o’clock in the morning every day till the 18th of March 2015 at the Vadhera Art Gallery located in the Defence Colony. Mr. S.H. Raza is a well-loved and creative modernist painter. Even at the age of ninety-three, he is still able to retain his creativity and the spark needed to create some of the most brilliant works of modern art. The paintings that will be exhibited have been completed by Mr. Raza in the past year and will be open for the very first time for public viewing. There will be a total of forty-four paintings and other paperwork displayed in the exhibition.

Hindustani Classical Vocal Recital

Pandit Geetesh Mishra will be performing a Hindustani Classical Vocal Recital the Epicentre, Apparel House Gurgaon on the 18th of March 2015 from 7:30 PM onwards. Pt. Geetesh Mishra is one of the disciples of the great and renowned classical maestro, Pandit Mahesh Prasad Mishra. The whole event is in collaboration with Pandit Mahesh Prasad Mishra Cultural Foundation. The music played this evening is bound to sooth the nerves of the guests while relieving them of all stress and worries. People can simply get lost in the classical vocals and experience their inner spirituality. One can safely say that this musical gala is going to be a once in a lifetime experience.

Peranakan World Exhibition

A special exhibition titled “Peranakan World” is set to take place at the National Museum located in Janpath, Delhi till the 25th of March 2015. The curator of this exhibition will be Mr. David Hankel. The exhibits will comprise of Peranakan porcelain ware also commonly called nyonya ware. The Peranakan works are mainly characterized by the extensive use of lots of contrasting colours. Pink is a common colour in this type of porcelain ware.

Delhi O Delhi on IHC, Lodhi Road is presenting an exhibition titled the Birds of Delhi till the 31st of March 2015. Photographs of birds clicked by Prerna Jain in all the various locations of Delhi will be displayed for public viewing.
