It is rather stressful applying for college or university and then you have to just sit back and wait for a response. The effort that goes into each application deserves a faster response, but that is not always how the world works. There might be times when you lose hope and try and forget that you even applied, but not so fast. There has been many applicants before you that had to go through the same process and many proved to be successful. Here are some motivating stories to get you through those long days waiting.

This story is about a young man who completed his mechanical engineering undergrad at a university in India. It was to his surprise and delight when he found out that he was accepted into a conservation Master’s program at the University of Michigan. If that is not motivating, then I don’t know what is. It just goes to show, that sometimes, you just have to take a chance and apply. He did not have to send a gre waiver request letter because of his brilliant scores at the University in India.

This is the story of the boy who scored 2 A’s and 1 B in the A level exams. I am sure he was a bit bummed out about the E, but applied either way. We know how strict the criteria is at Cornell, but it is all about taking a chance. It is better to have applied and got a rejection, then to not have applied and always wonder.

Emory.ed is no joke to be accepted at and this guy did it with a 3.0 score in his sophomore year. He probably had to look at a gre waiver request letter sample but you do everything you have to once you receive positive news. When he applied, there was not really much hope that he would be accepted, so when he was, it surprised even him.
