Brief History of Vaping Technology:

In 1963, the first electronic cigarette was created by Herbert A. Gilbert. Gilbert patented a device which was described as a “smokeless non-tobacco cigarette.”

Unfortunately, in those days, culture had permitted the smoking of tobacco, as a matter of fact, it was such a common phenomenon that no one minded. As a result, Herbert’s invention miserably flopped since no one was interested in smokeless tobacco if they could get the real deal. It’s evident that they were oblivious to the dangers of tobacco smoking.

Fast forward 40 years later and there emerged a gentleman by the name Hon Lik, who after witnessing the gruesome death of his father to the pains of cancer caused by smoking tobacco. Decided to invent what would become the modern e-cigarette. His idea was using a piezoelectric ultrasound-emitting element which would vaporise a pressurized jet of liquid that contained nicotine diluted in a propylene glycol solution. Also, he used propylene glycol to dilute nicotine and put this in disposable plastic cartridges to be a mouthpiece and liquid reservoir.

This e-cigarette had three parts that worked together. First was the battery that would provide the electric power and then the atomizer and the cartridge that would vaporise the liquid juice.

In the year 2006 British entrepreneurs Umer and Tariq Sheikh of XL Distributors created the cartomizer. The cartomizer put the atomizer and cartridge together improving the ease of use. This device was launched in the UK during 2007 as their Gamucci brand. It is now widely adopted as the technology used by the majority of e-cigarette products.

As a result of the competition that the e-cigarette was posing to the already established tobacco companies, some tobacco companies decided to go on a hunting spree to acquire some e-cigarette producing companies, some acquisitions ended up in millions of U.S dollars like in the year 2014, Altria Group Inc. purchased Green Smoke which was a popular e-cigarette brand. The purchase was reportedly made for $110 million. Visit the  https://www.buyv2cigs.co.uk/ website for more information about vaping devices.

What Then Is the Future?

1) Longer Lasting Batteries.

The improvement of e-cigarettes will touch on the performance of the machine batteries. With less charging hours and more performance time thereby making it more usable and portable without the worry of running out of power.

2) More Flavors to Choose From.

The flavors will also be improved thereby providing a variety of flavors that can be used on top of what is already present.

3) Smaller Sizes.

The size of the e-cigarettes has also improved with smaller sizes being made that are portable and more user-friendly.

4) Demand for Mobile and Connected Devices

In the coming future, the customization of vaporizers and e-cigarettes will dominate the future. With the increasing popularity of the Internet of Things (IoT), vaping devices that are connected to a smartphone will have the accessibility to customers. These means that product users will have a chance to control and customize their vaping experience.
